MISSION

To provide horse owners, potential adopters, and communities with practical guidance, knowledgeable, compassionate, and practical assistance that promotes the welfare, safety, and responsible ownership, management and placement of horses.

Vision

To become a trusted resource for Georgia horse owners and potential owners who need help making responsible decisions about the care, management, or rehoming of horses.  To focus on preventing horses from entering unsafe situations whenever possible by providing owners with alternatives, knowledge, resources, and professional guidance for the horse and property they live on.

Filling the Gap in Equine Rescue/Rehoming

As a dedicated volunteer with the Georgia Equine Rescue League (GERL),  I have had the opportunity to contribute my abilities, experience, and strengths to an organization committed to helping horses throughout Georgia.   GERL is a top, long-standing 501(c)(3) equine rescue organization in the State of Georgia, and it has been an honor to assist with the needs of horses and the people who care for them.


Through my involvement with GERL, I have gained valuable insight into the challenges facing horses and their owners. I have also recognized an important gap in services.

While GERL is a rescue organization focused on horses in need of rescue and intervention, it does not serve as a private-owner rehoming service for owners who find themselves needing to place their horses.


That is the gap I intend to fill.

My goal is to provide private horse owners with practical information, guidance, resources, and a structured approach to responsible rehoming. Circumstances can change, and responsible owners may find themselves needing to find a new home for a horse because of financial challenges, health issues, life changes, changing goals, or other circumstances.

Needing to rehome a horse does not automatically mean that a horse has been neglected or mistreated. Responsible rehoming can provide an opportunity to carefully evaluate the horse, identify appropriate options, verify prospective homes, and help ensure that the horse transitions into a safe and secure environment.


My purpose is to help bridge this gap by providing owners with the knowledge, preparation, and guidance necessary to make thoughtful rehoming decisions—with the horse's safety and long-term well-being at the center of the process.


The goal is simple: to help horses make a safe landing in a safe, secure, and appropriate setting.   My goal is to help owners make informed decisions by sharing knowledge gained through experience, education, lessons learned, available resources, and real-world situations. By providing practical guidance before problems arise, I want to help owners anticipate challenges, reduce unnecessary stress and expense, and create better outcomes for both horses and their owners.
